We greet you with the joy of the Lord!
It is our deepest desire as a ministry that we all grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ. We earnestly pray that we all walk together in the victorious power of His Spirit. It is
our conviction that through the knowledge of Christ we will show the love, grace, and peace that
extends to the ends of the earth.
Pastor and Lady Shackelford pray that we all learn to love God and our neighbor not just with
words but with action. The unconditional love that shows we are disciples and the love that covers
the multitude of all sins. We believe that studying and living the Word of God can build us into the
people that God has called and ordained us to be. We would personally like to invite you to
worship the Lord with us at City of Hope Ministries. You are welcome at this ministry where
everybody is somebody and Jesus Christ is Lord.

Lady Charlotte J. Shackelford was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and is the wonderful
daughter of Johnnie Ford and the late Amos Washington. She is the youngest of 3 sisters
who are Monica, Sheila and Paula. She is the loving wife of Reverend Derek T. Shackelford
and the proud mother of 12 year old daughter Shamara and 5 year old son Derin. Charlotte
credits her relationship with Christ to the deep spiritual roots instilled in her as a child by her
grandfather.
After graduating from High School, Charlotte joined the United States Army where she
served in Schweinfurt Germany, Fort. Bragg North Carolina, Camp Zama Japan and Ft.
Detrick Maryland. During her tour in Germany, she was deployed with the 147th Maintenance
Company to Dessert Storm/Shield for a six month tour.
Charlotte graduated from Fayetteville Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree
in Business. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a
concentration in Management, from Saint. Leo University in Saint Leo Florida. Charlotte is
now pursuing her Master’s degree in Christian Leadership from Liberty University.

Charlotte has always been active in the church; ready to serve wherever she was needed. She has served in ministries such as: The
Usher board, Pastors Aide, Welcome Committee, Benevolence Ministry, Missionary Board, Praise Team and Dance ministry. She was
also licensed to the office of Missionary in February 2006.
After starting City of Hope Ministries in 2007, Lady Shackelford began reaching out to women throughout the community with a
message of hope, healing and deliverance. It is her desire to see women from all walks of life come together to uplift, encourage and
inspire one another to press beyond their limits and depend on God for the impossible.
Charlotte is truly grateful to God the Father, because He sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners – of whom she was
one. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that through me, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited love to those who would
believe on Him and receive eternal life. Now may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy
Spirit be with you all. 2 Cor. 13:14.
